Test instructions

  1. Restore default settings for JAWS. For help, read Configuring Screen Readers for Testing.
  2. Activate the "Open test page" button below, which opens the example to test in a new window and runs a script that sets focus on a link just before the menubar.
  3. Tab to 'Text Formatting' menubar.
  4. Navigate to 'Style/Color' menu item with right arrow.
  5. Open 'Style/Color' menu with down arrow.
  6. Navigate to 'Black' menu item radio with down arrow.
  7. Activate the screen reader reading cursor.
  8. Read the 'Black' menu item radio
  9. Using the following commands, Read the 'Black' menu item radio
    • Insert+Tab
    • Insert+Up

Success Criteria

To pass this test, JAWS needs to meet all the following assertions when each specified command is executed:

  1. The name 'Black' is conveyed
  2. The role 'menu item radio' is conveyed
  3. The checked state is conveyed
