Testing task: Navigate backwards to a mixed checkbox in reading mode

With JAWS in reading mode, describe how JAWS behaves when performing task "With the reading cursor on the 'Navigate backwards from here' link, navigate to the 'All condiments' checkbox."

Test instructions

  1. Restore default settings for JAWS. For help, read Configuring Screen Readers for Testing.
  2. Activate the "Open test page" button below, which opens the example to test in a new window and runs a script that set focus on a link after the checkbox.
  3. With the reading cursor on the 'Navigate backwards from here' link, navigate to the 'All condiments' checkbox.
  4. Using the following commands, With the reading cursor on the 'Navigate backwards from here' link, navigate to the 'All condiments' checkbox.
    • Shift+X
    • Shift+F
    • Shift+Tab
    • Up Arrow, then Up Arrow

Success Criteria

To pass this test, JAWS needs to meet all the following assertions when each specified command is executed:

  2. Name 'Sandwich Condiments' is conveyed
  3. Role 'checkbox' is conveyed
